What are hydrosols?
Hydrosol or “water solution” is the condensate water that is created when distillation of plant material for essential oils is done. Hydrosols contain all of the plant; water soluble components, essential oil molecules and the fluid that was flowing in the plant at the time of harvest.
Brief explanation of each hydrosol as studies have shown.
Calendula Hydrosol: Also known as “All things skin”. Calendula is great for acne prone skin and inflammation.
Frankincense Hydrosol: Frankincense gives your skin a finer appearance.
German Chamomile Hydrosol: German Chamomile is great for sensitive and/or inflammed problem skin.
Lavender Hydrosol: Lavender is a very mild hydrosol safe for all skin types. IT has shown to help regenerative effects on damaged / fragile skin.
Lemon Balm Hydrosol: Lemon Balm is a good antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin clarifier. It has hown to have anti-aging properties and calms rashes,irritations and eczema.
Rose Geranium Hydrosol: Rose Geranium has shown to have humectant properties (attracting moisture from the air), balancing and adaptogenic for oily, dry, acneic and senstitive skin.
Rose Otto Hydrosol: Rose Otto has shown to have humectant properties (attracting moisture from the air) which is helpful to dry skin. Rose Otto is cooling and mildly astringent.
Rosemary Verbenone Hydrosol: Rosemary Verbenone has shown to work on the middle layers of skin calming irritation, pimples and bumps. It clarifies and brightens all complexions and has antioxidant, free radical scavenging properties.
Witchhazel Hydrosol: Witchhazel is the strongest antioxidant hydrosol. It has shown to ease redness, rashes, itching, swelling and scaling of skin. It is also good for varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Yarrow Hydrosol: Yarrow is mildly antibacterial and antiseptic. Properties that are good for problem skin, acneic conditions and dermal infections. Yarrow has also shown to helpease damage from the sun and wind.
