Carrier Oils
Carrier Oils have a different component make up than Essential Oils. They have a larger molecule makeup and are used to dilute Essential Oils.
Most Carrier Oils are skin nourishing, moisturizing or regenerating and the list goes on.
Bottom line, they are wonderful for the skin. Keep scrolling to see what the Carrier Oils I use in my products may be able to do for you.
Please keep in mind any allergies you may have. Those proteins can be present in the oils.
The Carrier Oils; what studies have shown.
Almond Oil: An Emolient and anti-inflammatory oil. May be good for itchy, sore and / or dry skin. **Be aware of nut allergies**
Apricot Oil: A moisturizing and anti-inflammatory oil. May protect from free radicals and is good for mature, dry or sensitive skin.
Argan Oil: An anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and moisturizer oil. Great for problem skin.
Avacado Oil: A very thick oil; a little goes a long way. May increase water soluable collagen and help prevent age spots.
Baobab Oil: A carrier with Vitamins A, D and E. May help with toning and softening skin. Good for acne and rosacea.
Blackberry Seed Oil: Packed with Vitamin C; may help slow aging, support collagen and may help ease blotches and wrinkles.
Black Cumin Oil: The seeds of Black Cumin, where the oil comes from, is mentioned in the book of Isaiah. BC is filled with nutrients; zinc, calcium, folacin, iron, copper and more.
Black Currant Oil: Is said to improve elasticity, anti-inflammatory. Good for Sensitive skin and eczema and psoriasis. May support collagen and skin regeneration and anti-aging. Very Moisturizing.
Borage Oil: An emollient, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing oil. May help pre-mature aging skin.
Coconut Oil: An Emollient, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial oil. Great for dry skin and may help acne-prone skin.
Cranberry Oil: One of my favorites. Omega 3,6 and 9 ratios almost equal which makes it a great skin conditioner. Nutrients in Cranberry protect from oxidation and free radical damage. May help with blemishes or acne and the tannins may provide antibacterial properties.
Evening Primrose Oil: A moisturizing, emollient and anti-inflammatory oil. May help pre-aging skin and regenerative for elasticity.
Grapeseed Oil: May strengthen collagen and proteins in connective tissue and help keep elastin maintained.
Hemp Oil: Omega 6: Omega 3 ratio of 3:1 helps to address EFA deficiency. May help with skin regeneration and is an antioxidant, moisturizing and emollient oil.
Jojoba Oil (Wax): Has shown to help unclog pores making it helpful for acne. In studies, has also shown in vitro to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
Macadamia Nut Oil: An emollient and antioxidant that helps to support cellular membranes and nourishing for the skin.
Marula Oil: A moisturizing oil that leaves a silky feel on your skin. Maintains moisture and helps with emulsification.
Moringa Oil: An emollient and moisturizing oil. An antioxidant protecting skin from the environment.
Pomegranate Seed Oil: An Emollient and antioxidant that may help cellular regeneration. May also help acne skin and fight free radicals and improve elasticity.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil: Another of my favorites. High in Omega 3 and 6; high in Vitamin E and A. May help regeneration, aging, dry, acne and oily skin. Moisturizing.
Rosehip Seed Oil: Another favorite. Vitamin A helps to support elastin and promote collagen. Vitamin E and C to help delay aging and nourishes the skin. May be useful for deep wrinkles, UV damage and dark spots.
Safflower Oil: Deeply moisturizing oil and good for irritated skin.
Tamanu Oil: An antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and skin regenerating oil.
