Babassu butter, or Attaleo speciosa; Orbignya oleifera, grows in Brazil. The babassu palm has been used for food, construction, religious and medicinal purposes.
Babassu palm, therapeutically, is said to be used for Non-comedogenic emollient, anti-inflammatory and has wound healing properties. It can be used for acne prone skin, and itchy skin. Babassu has been said to help eczema, contact and seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis and hives.
