Mango Nut (Kernel) Butter, or Mangifera indica, is native to tropical Asia and has been cultivated in India for over 4000 years. Now, Mango nut butter is cultivated and naturalized in Asia, South and Central America and Africa.
Therapeutically, Mango is said to support skin elasticity and suppleness, heals and a preventative of dry skin, and is an emollient. Mango can be used for many skin ailments including dry skin, psoriasis and dry eczema. It is also applied to the skin for cracked heels or elbows, aging and itchy skin. It can be applied to a growing belly during pregnancy to help reduce or even prevent stretch marks.
